Bellevue, Sarpy County

Nebraska’s oldest town, and some of its oldest pipes

Bellevue sits on the Missouri River just south of Omaha, next door to Offutt Air Force Base. Olde Towne and the streets near the river hold houses that have stood for generations, while the west side of town keeps adding new ones.

That mix means the same symptom, a slow or backed-up drain, can have very different causes from one end of Bellevue to the other. We look first, then clear it.

What we look for in Bellevue

  • Aging sewer lines near Olde Towne

Older clay and cast-iron lines are where cracks, offsets and root intrusion turn up. Sometimes a repair is enough; sometimes the line is past it.

  • Moving in or moving out

With a base next door, houses change hands often. A sewer camera inspection before closing shows the one part of a house nobody can see on a walk-through.

  • Late-night backups

A main line does not wait for business hours. If sewage is coming up in the basement, call, whatever the time.

How we work

High quality, low cost. Fair and square.

  • No hidden fees

Straightforward, honest pricing. You won’t find hidden fees or charges on the bill.

  • We look before we dig

A camera inspection shows exactly where the problem is, so you pay for the repair the line needs, not a guess.

  • Fixed, then kept that way

Most companies fix the problem and leave. We clear it, then show you how to stop it coming back.

Timely service done right. Servicer was very courteous and professional. Our sink was clogged and he came in and took very good care of the issue. Was very thorough through out the whole process. Afterwards he cleaned everything up. Highly recommended for sure and is as the name goes Affordable. I really do appreciate the help for sure. Thank you so much

Questions

Good to know

I rent in Bellevue. Who is supposed to pay for this?

Clogs caused by normal use are generally the landlord's responsibility, since the pipe is part of the building. Leases vary and some assign minor drain clearing to the tenant. Get the landlord's approval before booking if you expect them to pay, because after the fact it becomes an argument.

We are a military family and might be reassigned. Is a sewer repair worth doing?

If the line has failed, it has to be addressed either way, and a documented repair with camera footage is a straightforward thing to hand to a buyer. Deferring it tends to cost more at closing than fixing it did. Ask about the military discount when you call.

Why does Bellevue have so many root problems?

Older parts of the city sit under mature trees with clay tile laterals beneath them, which is the combination that reliably produces root intrusion. Newer subdivisions on the west side have far less trouble. The age of your street tells you a lot before anyone looks at the pipe.

The ground around my cleanout stays soggy. Is that the sewer?

It can be a broken lateral leaking into the soil, especially if there is any odor or if grass over the line grows noticeably greener. It can also be a downspout, a sump discharge, or heavy clay soil holding water. A camera distinguishes them quickly and saves you from digging on a guess.

Do you work in Bellevue overnight?

Yes, around the clock, every day. Bellevue is close enough to our base at Gold Circle that response times are generally short even at odd hours. Call rather than wait for morning if sewage is coming up.

Water backing up? Call any hour. We answer.

“We called Bill at Affordable Plumbing at 11 pm thinking we would leave a message, but to our surprise he answered the phone.”
