Elkhorn, west Omaha

An old main street surrounded by brand-new houses

Elkhorn became part of Omaha in 2007 and has not stopped building since. Olde Towne Elkhorn keeps its original main street and older houses, while new neighborhoods fill in the fields around it.

New houses have new pipes, but they are not trouble-free. The first few years bring their own kinds of clogs.

What we see in newer and older Elkhorn houses

  • New-build surprises

Construction debris left in a line, or a section that has settled and holds water, shows up as a drain that was slow from the start. A camera finds it.

  • Big kitchens, busy drains

Disposals and dishwashers send a lot down one line. Keeping grease out helps; when it has built up, jetting clears it.

  • Olde Towne lines

The older houses near the original town have older sewer lines, with the roots and cracks that come with age.

How we work

High quality, low cost. Fair and square.

  • No hidden fees

Straightforward, honest pricing. You won’t find hidden fees or charges on the bill.

  • We look before we dig

A camera inspection shows exactly where the problem is, so you pay for the repair the line needs, not a guess.

  • Fixed, then kept that way

Most companies fix the problem and leave. We clear it, then show you how to stop it coming back.

Questions

Good to know

My house is almost new. Why is the sewer already a problem?

New construction produces its own failure modes. Mortar, drywall mud, sand, and debris that got into an open line during the build settle and harden in the first low spot. We open brand new lines more often than people expect, and the material that comes out is usually from the build.

Should I get a camera inspection on a house I just bought new?

It is one of the better arguments for a scope, because defects from installation are exactly what a builder warranty is supposed to cover and exactly what expires quietly. A run while the warranty is live costs very little relative to what it protects.

The ground around my house is still settling. Can that break a line?

Settlement on backfilled ground can pull a line out of grade or stress a joint, which shows as a belly that keeps catching waste. It rarely causes a sudden break. If the same spot clogs on a repeating schedule, grade is the first suspect.

Does Elkhorn being newly developed affect emergency response?

Mainly in travel time from the core metro, which is modest. The newer street layouts and open access generally make the work itself faster once we arrive.

My neighbors all seem to have the same problem. Is that a coincidence?

Probably not. Homes built by the same crew in the same phase tend to share whatever was done wrong, and a defect appearing at several addresses on one street is worth documenting together. Camera footage from multiple houses carries far more weight with a builder than a single complaint does.
