Papillion, Sarpy County

The Sarpy County seat, old downtown and new subdivisions

Papillion grew up along Papillion Creek, and the blocks around its downtown still have the older houses to show for it. Around them the town has spread out in every direction with newer neighborhoods and plenty of young families.

Busy households are hard on drains. Most of what goes wrong in a newer Papillion house is not the pipe itself but what has gone down it.

Typical drain trouble in Papillion

  • Kitchen sinks and disposals

Grease, food scraps and a tired garbage disposal account for a lot of slow kitchen drains. We clear the line and repair the disposal if that is the cause.

  • Tubs, showers and toilets

Hair, soap and the things children flush. A snake pulls the blockage out rather than pushing it further down.

  • Older lines downtown

Near the original town the sewer lines are older, and a camera is the quickest way to learn whether roots or a break are behind repeat clogs.

How we work

High quality, low cost. Fair and square.

  • No hidden fees

Straightforward, honest pricing. You won’t find hidden fees or charges on the bill.

  • We look before we dig

A camera inspection shows exactly where the problem is, so you pay for the repair the line needs, not a guess.

  • Fixed, then kept that way

Most companies fix the problem and leave. We clear it, then show you how to stop it coming back.

Questions

Good to know

My house is newer with PVC pipe. Why did it clog?

Modern pipe eliminates root intrusion and corrosion but does nothing about what goes down it. The overwhelming cause in newer Papillion homes is wipes, hygiene products, and grease. Material that cannot break down snags on the first imperfection it meets and everything behind it piles up.

The package says the wipes are flushable. Are they?

They clear the toilet, which is all that claim means. They do not break apart in the line the way paper does, and they collect into a mass that is genuinely difficult to remove. This is the single most common avoidable call we run in newer suburbs.

Could my sump pump be causing a sewer backup?

If the sump discharges into the sanitary sewer rather than outside or to a storm connection, it can overload the line in wet weather and it is generally not permitted. Follow the discharge pipe and see where it goes. Rerouting it is usually simple and prevents a repeating problem.

We back onto the creek. Does that affect our line?

Proximity to the Papio can mean a higher water table and ground that shifts with saturation, which over time nudges pipe out of grade and creates low spots. It will not cause a blockage on its own. It does make a camera more worthwhile if the same spot keeps catching.

Does my builder warranty cover a sewer problem?

It might, if the home is new enough and the defect traces back to installation. Debris left in the line during construction and sections laid at the wrong slope both show up this way. Get the camera footage first, since a warranty claim without evidence rarely goes anywhere.
