Waterloo, Douglas County

A river village with low ground and old streets

Waterloo is a small village beside the Elkhorn River, west of Omaha and just past Elkhorn. Its streets are older, its lots are generous, and the river is never far away.

Low ground makes drainage matter more. When water has nowhere to go, the basement is where you find out.

What matters most in Waterloo

  • Basement and floor drains

Keeping the floor drain and the line behind it clear is the best protection a basement has. We clear both and check they run free.

  • Older sewer lines

Lines that have been in the ground a long time collect roots and build-up. A camera shows whether cleaning is enough.

  • After heavy rain

Not every backup starts in your own line. If the trouble follows a storm, we check your line and tell you honestly where the problem is.

How we work

High quality, low cost. Fair and square.

  • No hidden fees

Straightforward, honest pricing. You won’t find hidden fees or charges on the bill.

  • We look before we dig

A camera inspection shows exactly where the problem is, so you pay for the repair the line needs, not a guess.

  • Fixed, then kept that way

Most companies fix the problem and leave. We clear it, then show you how to stop it coming back.

I call Bill to do a faucet replacement for my kitchen sink and he did a wonderful job. Found out I had a leaking pipe as well and he went ahead and replaced that pipe for me. Awesome service and trusted company. Thanks Bill

Questions

Good to know

Does being in the river valley affect my drains?

It affects groundwater more than drainage. High water tables keep sump pumps busy and put constant moisture against buried pipe, which accelerates problems at any joint already compromised. It does not cause blockages by itself.

My sump pump runs constantly. Is that connected to my sewer?

Only if the discharge has been routed into the sanitary line, which overloads it during wet periods and is generally not allowed. Trace the pipe and see where it ends. If it dumps into a floor drain or a sewer connection, rerouting it solves a recurring problem permanently.

Water comes up my floor drain after it rains. Is that sewage or groundwater?

Clear water with no smell usually means groundwater or storm infiltration. Dark water with odor means sanitary backup and needs different handling, including care about contact. The distinction changes both the fix and how urgently you need to deal with it.

Do you cover the acreages outside town?

Yes, including homes on septic, for line work in the house and out to the tank. Mention the setup when you call so the right equipment comes along.

Will spring flooding damage a buried sewer line?

Saturated ground can shift pipe and open joints, and silt that enters a cracked line builds up faster than normal waste does. If drains behaved differently after a wet spring than before it, a camera run is the efficient way to find out why.
