Springfield, Sarpy County

A small town south of the metro, and still on our route

Springfield is the quiet end of Sarpy County, home of the county fair, with an older main street and houses that have been lived in for generations alongside newer ones at the edges.

Being a little further out does not change how we work. You call, we answer, and we tell you plainly what the drain or the line needs.

For Springfield homeowners

  • Older houses, older lines

Clay and cast-iron pipes crack and corrode with age. If drains have been slowing for a while, a camera inspection tells you where things stand.

  • Outbuildings and long runs

Bigger lots can mean longer sewer lines, with more length for roots and build-up to work on. Jetting cleans the full run.

  • One call for the house

From a kitchen sink to the main line, it is the same number, any hour.

How we work

High quality, low cost. Fair and square.

  • No hidden fees

Straightforward, honest pricing. You won’t find hidden fees or charges on the bill.

  • We look before we dig

A camera inspection shows exactly where the problem is, so you pay for the repair the line needs, not a guess.

  • Fixed, then kept that way

Most companies fix the problem and leave. We clear it, then show you how to stop it coming back.

We needed a new toilet put in on short notice and Bill was a life saver. He came out the next day and installed the toilet and took our old one. Bill was professional and efficient! Thank you again Bill for helping you! We will reach out if we have anymore issues.

Questions

Good to know

Do you actually come out this far for a single clogged drain?

Yes. Smaller communities get skipped by companies that only want dense routes, which is part of why we list Springfield. One call confirms timing before you spend the afternoon waiting.

We are on a septic system. What should I stop putting down the drain?

Grease, wipes, hygiene products, paint, and heavy chemical cleaners, all of which either clog the line or disrupt the bacteria the tank depends on. Garbage disposals add solids faster than a tank can process them, which is why septic homes should use them lightly. Habits matter more here than on city sewer.

How do I know whether the problem is my line or my tank?

Everything backing up at once, with standing water or lush grass over the field, points at the tank or the field. One fixture misbehaving while everything else drains normally points at the line. Knowing when the tank was last pumped resolves most of the remaining doubt.

Can equipment reach my house on a gravel or long drive?

Generally yes. Tell us about the drive, the gate, and any soft ground when you call, especially after rain or a thaw, so the right vehicle shows up the first time.

Is emergency service available out here at night?

It is, every night. Response takes longer than it does in the metro, and being told a realistic arrival window beats being told what you want to hear.

Water backing up? Call any hour. We answer.

“We called Bill at Affordable Plumbing at 11 pm thinking we would leave a message, but to our surprise he answered the phone.”
